The country is 800km long and 300km deep, with an area of 147,181km² and supports a population of about 27,000 people. There are many entertainment venues in the city of Kathmandu including theatrical shows of classical and light performances, casinos and discos. The cinemas in Kathmandu screen Nepali, Indian and other regional movies.
There are also private art galleries and a national art gallery called NAFA in Kathmandu which exhibit and sell a variety of modern and traditional paintings. There is a vast selection of dining opportunities to be found in Kathmandu with many restaurants serving authentic Nepali food complete with ethnic ambience as well as a selection of Indian, Chinese, Continental, Japanese, Korean and Thai foods.
