These tiny birds are Fairy Martins. They're "mining" mud with their beaks and flying away to build mud nests.
This is the third and final extract from around seven minutes of video taken with an unattended digital still camera at a puddle beside a footpath near Nerang High School in Queensland, Australia on 24 August 2009.
The sound you can hear is actually crows in a nearby tree.
