Kay Crosby from Maranoa Regional Council informed me yesterday on a phone call that the Mitchell Tip face has had dirt piled onto it so that any new rubbish would not be burnt. She said she had a photo to prove that, but unfiortunately would not send it to me...this is obviously not the case as can be seen from this video...come on Kay, do your job hey?

Over the 5 days we had 8-10 inches of rain. It was wet.
Still a beautiful island that is well worth seeing. The wildlife was amazing in wet conditions and I imagine even better when the sun is out...next time.
For those who dont remember the time, this was during the Queensland Floods in Dec 2010.
