Thes internally lit poles are 900mm high and 4 will be placed down one side of the driveway and the top will help hold the no entry tape to stop people entering the yard. The poles are a plastic tube used to hold window tinting, and kindly supplied by an ACL member.

The initial test build and run of my 2012 icicle replacements called pixicles. 5V 2801 Pixels, in this case 150 of them as a test, 6 rows high and 25 wide. The final item will be 150mm horizontally between LED's and 100mm vertically, but the type of pixel has yet to be decided, but the side-entry pixels would be better suited for this design

A test upgrade of a 240V window silhouette as used in 2011 for the display. The old 32 watt 240V string was replaced with RGB LED's drawing just 8 watts max, a huge saving over 20 items used last year.

A quick and nasty test of the upgraded RGB Bethlehem star for 2011. In 3 sections, this 9 channel star draws 78 watts at 12V and contains 468 RGB LED's

The first time all 10 minitrees were fired up in a real test. Not bad for 90 watts peak load. 100 5V RGB LED's per tree, powered by a 350W 5V supply and 10 3 channel DMX boards mounted in the black case that can just be seen to the right.

Stellagreen pixels strung across the roof of the shed running a test, and the 4 completed RGB minitrees also being tested. Driven in a simple test by Vixen 2.1, the 4 minitrees actually reflect the actions of 4 of the stellagreen pixels.
This was not a test of the Stellagreens, but instead a test of the Chinese RGB lights used in the Minitrees

LED Minitrees driven by Vixen. There are simple 100 string RGB LED's driven by a DMX controller at 5V. At the moment the LED's were driven at 100%, but tests show that 100% is too bright to blend in with the display at the moment, as 10 of these in close proximity will be VERY bright

10 to 12 RGB Balls will be used in the large tree, and the 12mm pixels, well 800 of them will be used in the Megatree in the front yard. The RGB Balls are 100% home made, right down to the fibreglass covering, and the pixels are sourced from China
