On Oct 30th, 5 days before the oil spill was capped, The Wilderness Society staged a protest outside of APPEA, to call for a moratorium on oil & gas in the Kimberley region until marine protected areas are put in place. Protesters covered themselves in oil to represent the plethora of marine life which is being affected by the oil spill.
